Women in combat

The government just can't decide the issue of women on the front lines. I am not against women in the military. I was in the Army. I was trained on guns, hand grenades and claymore mines(which are no longer used). But I was also trained in transportation. I drove many vehicles. When I was assigned a duty station,. it was a support group for training purposes.
I could have trained as a cook. I already knew how to do that. Soldiers have to eat too.
But I wanted to do something different and exciting. Something that was not what many women did at that time. Learning to drive a semi was a real challenge.
So you have women on the front lines, driving in convoys. IED's and other forms of attack besiege these convoys in war zones.
Look in Bible. MAN was created first! Woman was created from a rib, to be his mate and be subjective to him and for pro-creation. Adam was to be protective and provide leadership.
Down through the ages, men have acted as guardians of the female. Willing to lay down his coat(or life) for her.
Soldiers have each others back. They would die for one another. Putting the added gender card in the pot makes for bad Karma. Human nature is what it is. Attraction to each other draws away from the task at hand. Temptation has no place in battle.
The military already has had enough scandal occur. I fear mistakes will be made simply because a female / male partnership under stressful conditions can only lead to trouble. How ridiculess is it that in the middle of battle, a soldier has to step out to battle morning sickness. It is serious food for thought. I dont want my husband, son, brother, father having to depend on them for their safety. Then there is the obvious . Jealousy within the ranks because one male has been chosen over another.
War is no place for fratenzation, but it will happen. Human Nature feeds on it.
